Moustiers Sainte Marie is world famous for
its beautifully decorated faïence pottery.
During the 17th century the village had its
most important development of decorated pottery.
The tradition is carried on through the
craft-men s production in different workshops in the
village.
The nature is omnipresent and the lavender
fields color the countryside in June/July.
Only a few kilometers from the village you
can find the spectacular Verdon canyon. There you have a lot of
possibilities for hiking and water sports. You can even visit
the Verdon on a Montgolfier.
You can stroll around in the village with
its picturesque streets and different faïence shops and
workshops, walk up to the chapel and admire the ochre roofs and
the ancestral bell-tower.
